5 Vaping Myths Tobacco Companies Want You To Believe

… and why you should  try vaping.

Vaping myths

Have you failed again to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes? Don’t feel bad. Like the ad says – it takes practice to kick the habit. The tobacco companies don’t want you to quit, so here are their top 5 reasons (myths!) why you shouldn’t consider switching to the e-cigarette!

Myth #5       Vaping is just too complicated for you to understand. APV, ADV, VG or PV, cartomizer – what does it all mean? Find an online or storefront vape shop, pay them a visit or send an email and ask questions. That’s what I did almost three years ago, and today I’m still tobacco-free!

Myth #4       You think you don’t like e-cigarettes because once you tried a single from the convenience store and it was yucky. Well … maybe that’s because it was five years ago before e-cig technology really took off, and it was the last one on the shelf, and it was strawberry. The super sweet e-juices aren’t my thing either, but I have friends who love them. The point is you’ve got to try a variety of e-juices before you find the one you love, and a single doesn’t really cut it in the vape world. One more reason to visit your local vape shop in person!

Myth #3       It’s expensive to get started. No … it’s not. You can get a good beginner/starter e-cigarette kit for less than the price of a carton of cigarettes. Just do it.

Myth #2       E-cigarettes explode causing serious injuries. Yes, there have been several stories in the news lately about exploding e-cigs. But did you know your phone could explode too? When electronic devices are not used as directed and are not paired with the correct charger, an explosion can happen. Read the directions and follow them!

Myth #1       E-cigarettes are just as dangerous as tobacco cigarettes. Let’s just call this one a lie. Study after study shows e-cigarettes are far safer than regular cigarettes, and contain 1/20 the carcinogens. If that’s not enough to convince you, Public Health England promotes e-cigarettes as a recommended smoking cessation method, and has published a report stating e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than tobacco cigarettes.
